# Help with importing file name into Track Number tag

Hello,
I'm a long-time user of MP3tag, but ran into a serious problem. I ran a program called CUETools through my entire 2000 album library, and somehow lost just the Track tag info. I'm not blaming CUETools, because it's a great program and it could have been something I did incorrectly.
So, all of my file names have track info as the first two characters. Would someone be kind enough to describe how I use these first two characters (01, 02, etc) as my track numbers? If there is anyway to do my entire Music folder at once, that would be even better!
Yes, I did look in the FAQ, but I still couldn't figure out the exact code/steps 🙂
