# Help with special Convert/ Action

I have almost 800 pieces of classical music that I would like to make 1 change to.
To help with file management, all my file names have as the 1st word, the composer's name & hyphen;
EX: `Bach-Concerto for Violin And Orchestra No. 1 in A minor, Andante BWV 1041.mp3`
But my player (Sonos) lists them by what's in the Title field. It only visually displays what I originally listed there. IOWs, the above line but without; _"Bach-"_
I've used the Convert & Actions functions for some obvious small things, but don't know how to write a New Convert or Action to add each composer's name to the beginning of each Title. I realize I'd have to run it separately for each group of music that have a different composer.
I'm using Mp3tag v3.25.
Any help would be appreciated...thanks

The example I see is a filename and not the metadata from tag fields.
If you want to import only parts of the filename into TITLE, then use Convert\>Filename-Tag
Format string: `%dummy%-%title%`
or if you want to put `Bach` into ARTIST, then try
Convert\>Filename-Tag
Format string: `%artist%-%title%`

What exactly do you need in the TITLE field for your Sonos player?
The content of your ARTIST a hyphen and the content of TITLE?
You say that Sonos does NOT display Bach in your example?
What do you currently have filled in your TITLE field?
`Concerto for Violin And Orchestra No. 1 in A minor, Andante BWV 1041`?
And `Johann Sebastian Bach` in your ARTIST or COMPOSER field?

Thanks for the replies folks. Here's a couple of screen shots to clarify what shows in Windows (1st grab) vs. the Sonos app (2nd grab).
I want to add the composer's name in the TITLE field of Mp3tag.
Sonos doesn't show any other meta info from the file, so I have to look in Windows Explorer to see who the composer is.

Please show us a screenshot from the Windows Explorer properties (right mouse click -\> Tab "Details") of one of your files.
Then load the same song into Mp3tag and press Alt + T and show us this screenshot too.
According to this [SONOS documentation](https://docs.sonos.com/docs/supported-audio-formats#embed-metadata-using-icecast2-or-id3v2), there should be a few supported ID3 tags, at least for the music format mp3 - not sure about WAV, this format is not listed.

On their consumer it has a bit more information including support for wav files.

This looks to me like they only support WAV as a music format, but not for metadata support. As I don't own a SONOS system, I can only guess.
Maybe the requested screenshots from @PeterJr can help us.

Thanks ohrenkino. After clicking Convert\>Filename-Tag & expanding the arrow, I used "title" & that accomplished it. It transferred the file name into Mp3tag's Title field.
For those that questioned what sonos supports......it plays most any sound format, but only displays in it's interface what's in Mp3tag's "Title" field, not the file extension, nor Artist or anything else...a PITA!
By doing what ohrenkino suggested, I now can see the composer's name as the music is playing.

Reading is one thing, displaying it is another.
If you click several buttons & go through menus, it's possible to see the Album & Artist entries also. Nothing else. The only item which displays in the app while the music is playing or just sitting there, is the Title (Track name) & length. I've had to use Media Info countless times to refresh my memory of my 3,000+ musical pieces.
Sonos betrayed their customer base some time ago by TOTALLY destroying their app through an update. The CEO lost his job, their stock price took a massive hit, layoffs of hundreds of employees have occurred. There is concern that the company is on it's last legs. Many articles online will explain the situation. The app is still not fully functional like it was before the disaster.
They have lost the goodwill of their once devoted users. I am one of a huge number who will never buy their products again. We stay with it because we've purchased thousands (some are in for tens of thousands) of dollars worth of sonos gear.
