Hello

I've exported the mp3 data and I'm trying to edit in Excel, and then upload those changes.

The export format I used was this:

```auto
$filename(csv,utf-16)Title~Artist~AlbumArtist~Album~Track~Path~Filename~
$loop(%_filename_ext%)%title%~%artist%~%albumartist%~%album%~%track%~%_folderpath%~%_filename_ext%~
$loopend()build on %_date% with %_app% - the universal Tag editor - http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
```

My export file looks like this
(I removed header and footer.....also, I've added words (like Artist, etc.) in the actual artist name, so that I can verify that the data imported).

Anyway, this is the exported file (after I made some changes to the contents (like Artist name, etc.):

```auto
Title~Artist~AlbumArtist~Album~Track~Path~Filename
Piano & I~Alicia Keys – Artist~Alicia Keys – Album Artist~songs in A minor – Album~1~M:\Alicia Keys - songs in A minor\~1-Piano & I.wav
Goodbye~Alicia Keys – Artist~Alicia Keys – Album Artist~songs in A minor – Album~9~M:\Alicia Keys - songs in A minor\~9-Goodbye.wav
```

When I try to import, I choose the file, and I use the format string:
`%title%~%artist%`%albumartist%~%album%~%track%~%_folderpath%~%_filename_ext%~`

When I click Preview, I get:

"M:\Alicia Keys - songs in A minor\1-Piano & I.wav" -\>
"M:\Alicia Keys - songs in A minor\2 - Girlfriend.wav" -\>

...etc

Can anybody tell me what it is I'm missing?

Thanks!

If I see that correctly, you are missing a ~ between %artist% and %albumartist%.
Instead you have a `.
So I suspect that the pattern does not match.

Yeah, that's just a typo in this thread....I've double checked and it's there when I try the convert.

The correct format string matching the data set is

`%title%~%artist%~%albumartist%~%album%~%track%~%_folderpath%~%_filename_ext%`

Besides from the typo @ohrenkino spotted, your format string had an additional trailing `~` character.

Ok...fixed both of those, and now I'm getting different error:

No matching entry for file "M:\Alicia Keys - songs in A minor\1-Piano & I.wav."
.....etc

Do you have this file in your file list or is it differently named? If you use `%_filename_ext%` when importing from text files, Mp3tag attempts to match entries based on this filename.

Use `%dummy%` instead, if you want to skip this matching and simply import based on the order of the files in the file list.
