Every time I try to convert the Filename to a title, It converts the Artists column instead of the Title column.

How do I copy the Filename to the Title column?

Thanks

You want to write the filename (as it is) to the tag title?

ALT + 2
Format string:
`%title%`

> How to import parts of the filename into the tag? Importing tags from filenames and directory names can be done by using the [Converter \> Filename - Tag] Converter \> Filename - Tag. The basic concept is the notion of a format string which describes the structure of the name to import from. The format string is built of either standard text (e.g., Music), placeholders (such as %artist%, %title%, ...), or backslash characters \ that denote directory structures. Here is an example that imports t…

Thanks!

Now what if I want to undo it later on, and the _Undo Filename - tag_ button doesn't work?

You have 2 choices:

**a)** Do the Filename -\> Tag process ALT + 2 again with the fixed/accurate format string
or
**b)** Use the [Tag -\> Tag converter](https://docs.mp3tag.de/converters/copy-compose-tags) and fill your target tags with existing values from other source tags.

Just for completeness:
Always create a backup of your songs before you change them.

Well I generally save a _text taglist_ everytime I change things. (see attachment)

Is there any way I could use that?

Yes, press "OK".
Yet, it does not help to convert the filename to title.
Or what is the topic now?

A backup of the last tags used, as @LyricLover mentioned here:

If I read

correctly, then nothing is said about the tags but about the complete songs.
So a real backup program may be an idea.
In respect to the export script: the pure name does not say anything about the functions. You would have to show the code.
And then you would have to describe the further workflow of how to get the exported data back into the files.
