# How to Add Genre to the Tag Panel

Hello
I a a newbie so am learning my way around. I would like to add Genre to the Tag Panel and in theory I should be able to do this by "You can also add more tag fields to the tag panel via File \> Options \> Tag Panel". However Genre does not appear in the drop down list of available options to add.
I have searched this forum and the Internet but haven't been able to find a solution. I am using FLAC files if this makes any difference?

It doesn't appear there because it is already under the standard tags which are allways shown at the tag panel. Don't you see it?

Hi. Sometimes you can't see the what is blindingly obvious and I am afraid to report this is one of those times. I can't believe I didn't see it! Thank you
