# How to change just one tag field

I have used MP3Stag successfully to change the file names from the internal tag, horray! Made a donation and I am happy except for the difficult instructions (for this computer dummy.) So then, here is a smple question and hopefully I will get a simple answer.

I would like to change the internal tag "Genre" in a list of files to just one description, such as "Romance," without changing the rest of the tags - title, artist, album etc. I am pretty certain your software will do it, I just can't figure it out, even after reading the information on this forum.

You need to select the files you want to change and then just edit the Genre field. All fields that are set to **\< keep \>** will not change.
