# How to convert tags from Ape 2.0 to Id3v2.3

Hi,

For special reasons I have taged all my music-files (mpc and some mp3) in Ape 2.0. I would like to convert the tags of my mp3-files into Id3v2.3 because my mp3-player doesn't read Ape 2.0.

Can somebody help me?

Go to Options \> Tags \> Mpeg  
In the "Write" section select ID3v2

Now you just need to save the tags again with ![:mt_save:](https://community.mp3tag.de/uploads/default/original/1X/9a524114a0a7cfb94ed95e08e42778afb83a895f.png ":mt\_save:") Save Tag [Ctrl+s]
