I need to add the first letter of an artist to the [SearchBy] field.

ex.
Artist= baton rouge
Title= dident i

This is what I currently have,
[SearchBy]=$replace($lower(%artist%/%title%),&,%%26,?,).html
which translates to:
"baton\_rouge/didnt\_i.html"

I need the search to translate to:
"b/baton\_rouge/didnt\_i.html"
-Adding the value "b" which is the first letter of the artist "baton\_rouge".

The "?" is where the string needs to be:
[SearchBy]=$replace($lower("?"/%artist%/%title%),&,%%26,?,).html

Thanks for any help.
