i was performing an action on 174K files, half way through i received an error cant write to file, be handy if errors could be ignored but a log kept of the details to allow the action to continue overnight without getting stuck thanks

also the error was not obvious as it wasn't displayed over the mp3tag screen

I'd enjoy that feature as well, came to ask the exact question after every time I sit down to the PC I find an error message has stalled a large batch rename or removal & has kept my very old spinning Platten drives (USB connected) running, sometimes over night.

Try this script packaged as an exe file. Created it a few years ago, and it does exactly what you need. Now, before you start wondering if I pull your leg and want you to download some kind of a virus, let me explain what it does. Some years ago I was going crazy with the same thing. Eventually, a search on this forum has helped me to come up with a solution. There is a free scripting tool called AutoIT that allowed me to automate the process by specifying the error promt, the button to auto click and the action (continue). If you'd rather generate your own tool please search the forum for instructions.
Or test out what I have. Unzip, scan with your antivirus software and let me know if you find it helpful.
