# How to merge Artist + Title into "Title" field?

Hello, i tried to google and didnt find any answer.

I only wanna MERGE artist + title into TITLE field like this:  
%artist% - %title%

how do I do that?

Here's the way I accomplish the task:

Format Value

Field: Title  
Format String: %title% - Featuring: %artist%

you can remove the Featuring... I use it for ex: Ascension - Featuring: Kirk Whalum

So you should get aquainted with mp3tag.  
For your problem you could start reading the FAQs  
[/t/967/1](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/967/1)  
only that you use the string  
%artist% - %title%
