I sometimes get Discogs to verify track names and numbers, but if I ask it to write the tags, it numbers tracks as A1 or B2 or whatever, instead of just 1,2,3 etc.
Is there a way round this?

Isn't this a source problem that you chose the vinyl issue with A and B sides instead of one with sequential numbering?

You can use the track numbering wizard Ctrl-K to adjust the numbering.
