I have an action to remove everything after a comma but it doesn't work for removing stuff after a double backslash, I'm guessing because the formatting is incorrect when you want to remove these characters

What I have looks like this:

Anyone know how I can achieve this?

I think that you have a mulit-value field there - you could check the extended tags dialogue (Alt-T) and see if you have more than 1 field of the type ARTIST.

There several ways to deal with these:

- there is an action to remove duplicate fields:
[Remove Duplicate Fields – Mp3tag Documentation](https://docs.mp3tag.de/actions/remove-duplicate-fields/)
- you can merge the fields first to see the contents of all fields. Do this also with an action:
[Merge Duplicate Fields – Mp3tag Documentation](https://docs.mp3tag.de/actions/merge-duplicate-fields/)
Take care that you define a separator unequal to `\\`
- apply the Converter\>Tag-Tag and assign %artist% to the field ARTIST - this also leaves only the contents of the first field.

Ah you're right it was duplicate fields, I've since removed them - thanks.
