# How to remove track numbers from filenames?

I have track numbers preceding filenames in hundreds of files. eg
01 - Billie's Bounce.mp3
01 - Any Time.mp3
Can anyone tell me how to remove these numerals other than manually. I have hundreds of them.
Any help much appreciated.

There are many paths which lead to Rome...
If you have the title tag field filled in, you can use the Tag-Filename assistant with "%title%" as formatstring.
If not, you can either use an action which formats the "\_FILENAME" field using this string: "$mid(%title%,6,$len(%title%))" or create a RegEx action which replaces "^\d\* - " with nothing in "\_FILENAME", as well.
