# How to tag an album with freedb using file path name

I want to tag albums with tracks that have no names or info or tag but when i use Freedb or [amazon.com](http://amazon.com) or musicbrainz it uses the tracks name to identify it but if it dosnt have a name i want to be able to use the folder name that the tracks are placed in,how do i do this?

If the information you are looking for is already in the folder name, you could import that information into the tags to make it a little easier for the other scripts:
e.g.
Eric Clapton - slowhand\track 01.mp3
could be used to fill in the artist, album and track no. if you use the converter filename - tag. Enter the following mask for the above example:
%artist% - %album%\%dummy% %track%
the preview function of the converter will guide you.
