# ID3 Tag writing slow on network drives

I noticed that any version of mp3tag is very slow when writing id3 tags on some files (I noticed that is happens with files without both id3v1 and v2 tags) located on network shares.
It creates a temporary files .XXXX, but in a VERY slow way (my network transfer rate is 27mbit/s, these files are created at 4mbit/s.
Why ?
Any way to speedup ?

I'm having the same problem. It doesn't occur with every tag or file though. Certain ones seems slow, but I haven't been able to determine if there is a common trait between them (for instance, is it album art, foreign characters, etc).
