# ID3V1 vs ID3V2

I am using MP3TAG v2.36a. I have a music program that needs my MP3 files in tag format version 1.

Can I save the MP3 files as ID3V1 instead of ID3V2.

If so how?

You can change the ID3 tag type to write via Options \> Tags \> Mpeg.
