# Ignoring characters

Didn't you used to be able to ignore characters after putting a ";"? I went back to look at some folders I had used MP3TAG on a few years ago and it don't work anymore!

Could you please describe in much more details WHERE do you want ignore characters exactly?

What Action exactly should "ignore characters after putting a ";"?

Please provide [some screenshots](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/hints-for-asking-support-requests/56190#use-screenshots-to-exemplify-the-issue-2) to better understand what you try to achieve.

I see a selected filename with a ";" and following text.

What exactly do you click to expect that this filename should be changed to remove or ignore everything after this ";"?
