# Image conversion upon insertion/extraction

Hey Florian,

Is there any chance of adding in some codecs to convert images to a certain type when they are either inserted into the albumart tag, or upon extraction of the albumart tag?

This way, you can keep all the albumart the same format.

Would be extremely handy.

I am successfully doing the same (all embedded pictures same type & size for web site) using Mp3tag’s »Exports«, »Actions« and ImageMagick. You might want to read my article [»How to easily generate uniform cover images«](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/7328/1).

That's cool. I use FastStone to do the image conversion after MP3TAG extracts. But I was just wondering if this can be implemented into MP3TAG.
