# Is there a limit on how many songs can be added to MP3TAG?

Is there a track limit? I have a library of close to 200,000 songs and when I try to add all of them I get a error message "Not enough memory addressable to complete the operation!" My machine has 64 GB of RAM. The music all together consumes around 1.7 TB of data.

Try to load the files with the library function switched on.
(File\>Options\>Library)
Yes, there is a limit due to the addressable memory space of a 32-bit-application which is some 4 GB.

Limited by 2GB (signed integer) but can be 4GB if LARGEADDRESSAWARE is set and 32 Bit process can handle (unsigned 32 bit pointers)
But there is no way to use more than 4GB for 32 bit process.

unsigned integer 32
2^32 = 4.294.967.296
/1024/1024
=\> 4096 MB
/1024
=\> 4 GB

Signed integer 32 -\> 2 GB
