Is there a way to preview actions before executing them?

Or another way could be to get a log of changes after executing actions. This way, I can see if there are subtle changes that I didn't expect.

I guess there isn't a way to preview custom actions before executing them. A workaround for seeing the changes AFTER executing them is to do an export before and after the actions, then comparing the files to see the diffs. My recommendation is to create an export format that puts each field on a separate line, then using WinMerge to compare.

Beware false negatives when actions affect something other than tags.
