What version of Windows and bitness?
Temporary solution, where C:\Program Files\Mp3tag\ \<- path to program:
> cd C:\Program Files\Mp3tag\
> regsvr32 Mp3tagShell.dll
and restart Explorer

Bei einer Standardinstallation braucht man das (meistens) nicht.
Bei einer portablen Installation gibt es keine Shell-Erweiterung - von daher würde so eine Option mal da sein oder nicht, was dann auch wieder zu Verwirrung führt.

For Win 11 it shouldn't work like that. The bug is not in the program, but in the OS.
I had the same situation with other programs.

Hallo zusammenm gibt es mittlerweile eine Lösung? Bei mir erscheint der link im Kontextmenü erstaunlicherweise wenn ich auf den Desktop klicke, in einem Untermenü "einfügen" - einziger weiterer Menüpunkt ist AMD software Adrenalin Edition. Kann es sein, dass das Teil einfach falsch "platziert" ist? Oder die Notebooktreiber (HP IrgendwasBook habe ich) querschießen?
Nur so ne Idee... von einem der keine Ahnung hat.
Ich habe win11 und die neuste mp3 Tag Version.

Vielleicht hast du mal portable und Standard-Installation gemischt, vielleicht hast du ein 64-bit-Version über eine 32-bit-Version installiert ...
Ich würde die aktuelle Konfiguration sichern und an einem sicheren Ort verwahren, dann alle Spuren von MP3tag vom System tilgen und eine saubere Neuinstallation versuchen.
Wenn die läuft, stellst du die alte Konfiguration aus der gesicherten ZIP-Datei wieder her.

Also es gibt 2 Möglichkeiten, die DLL neu registrieren, im Web gibt es genug Anleitungen Wie man ein Shell Register macht, oder installiere es drüber, wähle beim installieren Kontext Menü ab, noch Mals Installieren und Kontext Menü anwählen, bei mir hat das funktioniert.
Es ist definitiv die DLL die sich Unregistriert hat nach meinem Verständnis.
