# Making A Donation

I just tried to make a donation using paypal but not as a paypal user.

There was no field to say who it's from or leave any kind of message

Is this what others do

Hi Phil,

I normally send a personal "Thank You" note via email to anyone who supports me – sometimes this can take some days 🙂 This is of course only possible, if I know the email address.

So you can simply directly write me an email along with your donation. I can then easily correlate your support with your message.
