# Mass Edit

Is there a way to apply say an artist to several files at once instead of copy \> paste \> return \> copy... Is there some action or anything I can do to edit several files at once?

I just figured it out. Quick Action \> Format Value \> string

You can also select multiple files, enter the artist in the Tag Panel and press the ![:mt_save:](https://community.mp3tag.de/uploads/default/original/1X/9a524114a0a7cfb94ed95e08e42778afb83a895f.png ":mt\_save:") save button.
