# Maximum value length for Tagging FLAC files

Does Mp3tag limit the number of UTF-8 characters and spaces in the "value" of a Vorbis Comment, where FIELDNAME=Value? I have seen a few instances where an (improper) Value entry seemed to be limited to 255 characters including the spaces. That shouldn't have happened in the first place, but someone apparently did not choose to limit the size of the Value entry per our recommendation.

Of course, if one follows the FLAC recommended usage, the "value" is supposed to be brief, so I don't have any known issue with the way Mp3tag handles Vorbis Comments. I just want to know if there is an upper limit on the size of the Value entry.

That leads to a second question. I definitely don't want to do this, but how would one tag a FLAC file with the complete lyrics to a song?
