# Metadata duplicated after tagging with Audacity

I add the metadata of the audio file in Audacity. Upon opening the file in MP3Tag, the info in the "Year" and "Comment" fields is duplicated. The info in all of the other fields appears correctly, not duplicated. Is there a way to stop the app from duplicating the data?
Also, can the saved metadata be imported? When I revise a project, I must type in the info again in some of the fields.

This is a known and still open bug from Audacity since more than 3½ Years (5.9.2021):

This issue was closed on 7 July 2022 with the status "Closed as not planned".
