# More on my current scripting construct

Hi, could someone tell me why the following will not capitalise a character if it follows a parenthesis or an inverted comma or (it would seem) anything OTHER than a space?

F:\My Music\%artist%\%artist% -  
$iflonger(%album%,1,$char(39)%album%$char(39),$char(39)No  
Album$char(39)) - $ifgreater(%track%,-1,track$num(%track%,2),00) -  
$iflonger(%title%,1,$caps($validate(%title%,\_)),track%track%)

$caps() can receive two arguments, the second one being the characters that trigger upper case.
