# More options for "$covers()"

Florian -
I love the $covers() function, was wondering if it were possible to add a few new pieces of functionality around it.
A. Add it to the list of fields available for functions. It would be great to be able to filter on wether or not a track has art already.
B. Add the ability to script in cover art. I have a group of actions that I apply to all tracks I add, but if I fire the "import cover from file" on a track that already has a cover, I end up with multiple copies. Before I realized what was happening, I had one album with 9 copies of the art _grin_. If I could have an IF to test if there was already a cover in the tag, I wouldn't need to sort the list and then run that action seperate.
Thoughts?

I've removed the $covers() function from the current [Development Build](http://developer.mp3tag.de) but added the %\_covers% placeholder.
