# MP3 player does not follow sequence

In MP#tag i created my playlist (400 titles) with the following filename: %track% - %artist% -  
%title%

But when I play my music from a usb-drive in my car the track-sequence is not:  
1, 2, 3 but 1, 10, 100.

Anybody who knows what to do?

Does the player read the playlist at all?  
What does the player use to sort files?  
The embedded metadata i.e. the tags?  
Or only the filename?  
You could try instead of  
`%track% - %artist% - %title%`

`$num(%track%,3) - %artist% - %title%`

Coming a little late to the dance here, but what make and model of vehicle? Is it the factory stereo or an aftermarket?
