# Mp3tag awarded Software of the Year 2009

Yes, it's true: **Mp3tag won Gold** in the category Freeware at the "[Software of the Year 2009](http://softwareload.de/softwaredesjahres)" awards of Softwareload, the software-download portal of Deutsche Telekom!
More than 400.000 people voted among all the nominees and in the end Mp3tag made it to the first place 🙂
So **thank you all** , for voting and supporting Mp3tag -- it's truly amazing!
I've attended the awards ceremony in Wiesbaden yesterday and had a great evening. Besides the winner's cup (which weighs 7kg of solid glass), I received 5.000€ prize money!
Thank you Softwareload and thanks again to you, without whom winning the award would have been impossible!

Megacool!!! Ich gratulier Dir ganz herzlich zum Erfolg - bewusst auf Deutsch, weil es es nicht selbstverständlch ist, herausragende Software in deutsch mit deutschem Support zu bekommen!
Das Preisgeld ist hoffentlich ein Ansporn weiterhin Deine (Fre-?)Zeit in dieses Projekt zu investieren.

Well, you better have won....I voted for you at least 3 times from various PCs and locations I have access to & forced everyone I know with a PC to vote for you so if you hadn't won I was going to demand a recount. 😆
