# Mp3Tag Crashes on Mac when importing tags from text file

We've worked together via email to identify and address this issue and it's now fixed with Mp3tag for Mac v1.8.24.

From the [release notes](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/mp3tag-for-mac-v1-8-released/61431/29):

> Added a workaround for possible hangs caused by infinite backtracking of the regex engine when importing a large number of tags from text files and the format didn't match the input.
