# Mp3tag for Mac v1.8 released

I've just released **Mp3tag for Mac v1.8.8** with the following changes:

### New:

- Added function `SayDate` to Web Sources Framework.
- Added support to reference contents of output buffers via `%output%` in string parameters of Web Sources Framework functions. ([#62238](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/62238))

### Changed, Improved & Fixed

- Added special handling for `iTunEXTC` field name for MP4. ([#62556](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/62556))
- ID3v2 `UFID` was not always correctly detected as binary or text-only frame. ([#62268](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/62268))
- Cover dimensions on Tag Panel were reported as larger size in some rare cases.

**It's a free update!** You can update the Mac App Store version via the _Update_ tab in the App Store app and the standalone version from within the app via _File → Check for Updates_ .
