# Mp3tag for Mac v1.8 released

I've just released **Mp3tag for Mac v1.8.11** with the following changes:

### Changed, Improved & Fixed

- Check for minimum required version of Mp3tag for a Tag Source did not compare all version segments numerically, which resulted in misleading error messages since the last version. ([#62902](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/62902))

**It's a free update!** You can update the Mac App Store version via the _Update_ tab in the App Store app and the standalone version from within the app via _File → Check for Updates_ .
