Being logged in as an administrator does not automatically mean that you possess elevated privileges. As an administrator, you merely have the right and the ability to obtain the necessary privileges. Windows manages the acquisition of these elevated privileges through

Thank you for that info. It is apparent that I am not tremendously computer-literate. Hence my posing of seemingly simple questions. But y'all talked me thru it, so all is good and I again offer my thanks.
