# multiple locations for .mte and .src

Hi folks.

I just noticed that there are 4 different locations for **.src** files used by the program:

**%installdir%\data\sources  
%installdir%\data  
%appdata%\MP3tag\data\sources  
%appdata%\MP3tag\data**  
   
and also 4 different locations for **.mte** files:

**%installdir%\export  
%installdir%\data  
%appdata%\MP3tag\data  
%appdata%\MP3tag\export\</b\>**

This is really confusing and unnecessary from my perspective. I also noticed duplicate files.  
Why not settle for a single dir for .mte and another single dir for .src ? PLEASE ![:rolleyes:](https://community.mp3tag.de/uploads/default/original/1X/3a79e8b0b7d169b30216785521d7c6f4f895c421.gif ":rolleyes:")
