# Need help converting Date to Year

I've tried file Format Value and searching around for the solution a bit but I couldn't find any solution. I was wondering how to do this automatically.

Several solutions:

1. Converter Tag-\>Tag  
Field: YEAR  
Format String: $`num(%date%,4)` **or** `$left(%date%,4)`

2. Action Type Format Value  
Field and Format String as above

3. Action Type Guess Values  
Source Format: `%date%`  
Guessing Pattern: `%year%.%dummy%`
