# Need help with iPod compilation tagging

I've got a few compilations (albums with more than one artist) which I want to set so my iPod can regognize these albums as a compilation and display them in the compilation menu of the iPod.
iTunes does this quite well, and I've read that it basically just adds the ITUNESCOMPILATION variable to the mp3 with the value of 1.
I've tried doing this using mp3tag, then uploading the compilations to my iPod via [vPod](http://www.vonnieda.org/vPod/), but it doesn't seem to be working.
Is there anything else I need to do? I was thinking that maybe the iPod uses a specific version of the ID3 tag which I need to set in the options, or...?
Any help would be appreciated.
I forgot to say, it's a 30gb iPod video with version 1.1 firmware installed.

Maybe the vPod software can't read Unicode tags. Try to write ID3v2.3 tags in ISO-8859-1 format and see if this solves your problem.

Still doesn't work...
I think it's a problem with vPod as you said
Now to find another basic program to transfer my music to my iPod....
