Das ist schon die richtige Ecke mit genres.ini.  
In Datei\>Optionen\>Genre kannst du einstellen, dass nur noch die benutzerdefinierten Genres gezeigt werden sollen.  
Die schon definierten sind in der ID3-Norm festgelegt. und ein paar weitere sind als de facto Standard dazugekommen.
