Hi everybody,

I need to re-tag some songs (extracted from compilation discs) with the albums names they originaly came from and the correct year.
Ex: I have "Blackbird - The best of Beatles - 2003"
I need: "Blackbird - White Album - 1968"

Is there an easy way to do that? (I need to automate the process because I've a lot of files to re-write... No way to do that individualy...)

Hope you'll be able to save my coming months...
Thanks for the help
Ben.

Looks to me like a search by artist and title.
Here is a thread on that topic:

None of the searches will do it, and I can't access the search configurations to force them to search by title and artist. I'm about to dump MP3Tag if I don't find a workaround.

Still, I doubt that the version on the "best of" is the same as on the original album (which was vinyl, I think), so the modified information is probably not accurate.
