# PC to Mac and license query

Hi, I've just moved to a Mac from a PC. I only use MP3TAG occasionally and went to install it - it says it's a 7 day free trial which suggests I bought the PC software version as I've used it for a year or two. I don't have an email with any license number in it - I'm simply wondering if I can find out my license for the PC and if it is transferrable (the PC no longer exists).

The Mac version was developed long after the Freeware Windows version.

There is no license to transfer to enable the Mac version for free.

Ah, thank you, @MotleyG . That explains my confusion. I don't use it often - just tagging my own field recordings. I nearly forgot that I had it on the PC at all!
