# Please Update Auto Number Removing From Filename And Title Both Its My Request

Removing leading numbers has been addressed in the [FAQs and HowTos](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/actions-and-batch-operations/967/11)

Actually, I would not want to have anything like an automatic removal of leading numbers as this would render some titles meaningless. I think of  
"19" by Paul Hardcastle  
"25 or 6 to 4" by Chicago,  
"1000 hours" by Green Day  
"2 A.M" by Iron Maiden  
"3 Black Crows" by Blackmore's Night  
"50 ways to leave your lover" by Paul Simon  
and so on.  
I think you get why I am not too enthusiastic.
