Hi Everyone,

Is there a way I can easily remove all instances from every tag contains the characters "PMEDIA"? For example, a typical mp3 I obtained has PMEDIA in many of the typically unseen tags like ISRC, Uploader, and release country. I also would like to remove all of the instances of tags that contain the expression pmedia, but are not limited to just those letters. An example would be this odd expression

[eng||www.t.me/pmedia\_music](http://eng%7C%7Cwww.t.me/pmedia_music) which is found in the very odd unsynchedlyrics field. Just out of curiosity, what do the two upward bars (which is found with the backward slash key) do? Seems suspicious to me.

or

[Telegram: Contact @pmedia\_music](http://www.t.me/pmedia_music) found populating the Lyricist field.

Thanks for your time and help !

Ed

This is interesting.....

When I typed and posted the following on the thread I just started

Lryricist field contains this---- [Telegram: Contact @pmedia\_music](http://www.t.me/pmedia_music) it read in the chat viewer and was posted as

Telegram: Contact @pmedia\_music

Hmmm.......makes me wonder what is actually happening.

Maybe following the process found here:

> Hello, I am trying to remove all http, www, .com/.org/.net etc from all of my tracks. I have tried to create an action with wildcards but I think I am missing some information. [] The addresses located randomly int the ID tag fields. So I tried Replace with wildcards but couldn't succeeded. Any help appreciated. Regards

With tracks selected right mouse click. Choose the to Extended Tags. Eliminate the tags you want. Save your choices. Voila

@joeleger This would remove all the selected tags from all your selected tracks. Not only the ones with PMEDIA inside a specific tag.
You need to find the tracks with the tag containing PMEDIA first. Then you can use your steps.
Otherwise you delete content from tags that you want to keep (content that could be something else then PMEDIA).

As @ohrenkino wrote more then 10 years ago in the above linked thread, please use a Filter (F3) first:

> [@Help to create an action to remove all advertising web-links](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/help-to-create-an-action-to-remove-all-advertising-web-links/13500/2):
>
> There is no action for replacing with wildcards. The only one that comes close is "Replace with regular expressions" ... Load all the files that you want to modify into mp3tag. If you are not sure in which field you find the unwanted string you could first of all apply a filter. Press F3 to show the filter input box at the bottom at the window. Enter www into as filter. This filter looks at all fields whether it contains www. If you want to narrow it down to ID then enter ID HAS www Se…

and enter PMEDIA to show only tracks with PMEDIA somewhere in your tags.
