Without going into too much detail, my innioasis G5 media player, is rendering old album names, when importing music from a single album of around 300 tracks, instead of creating a single album called best, it creates 5 albums, one of which has the majority of tracks and is called best, 2 of the other 4 'albums' have album names of previous album names I have used, which no longer exist, the other 2 'albums' have the album names of the album that the track was originally sourced from, but all tracks have test as the album name, the album artist is various. I use the Hiby app as the music player, my thoughts are that this behaviour is caused by erroneous meta data. Should I delete all Metadata from this album and then re create the album with album name and genre, all other tags are not needed.

P.S. all 5 albums have the correct test cover artwork

Thank you

Looks to me a lot like this topic revisited:

> Hello This has little to do with MP3TAG, but I hope, someone may have some idea as to what's happening. I have an innioasis G5 media player, and use MP3TAG to do all my editing, I don't hold MP3TAG responsible for my problem, but would like to explain. I have created several albums / folders of my music, the example one is a folder / album called Fast...in the past this has been named JAKFast, plus other names. When I scan the music using my G5, it creates multiple 'Fast' albums, as per the i…

There are so many unanswered requests for more information in the other thread that I would assume that if you answer those you get much closer to a solution.
TBH I do not see

You ask about a local, individual problem - and as noone can look over your shoulder you would have to transfer your local environment here into the forum.
This means: supply screenshots, describe the steps that you already took and their outcome and what you actually expected.
Make it easier for the rest of us.

All I do is import the album into my G5 using the Hiby app. Attached screenshots

Currently I have stripped all Metadata using foobar and then recreating album name cover and genre using MP3TAG, will see if that solves it

I would think that the minimum preconditions are these:

> [@Confused need some ideas to get an album together](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/confused-need-some-ideas-to-get-an-album-together/71613/2):
>
> Make sure that for an album the following fields are filled: ALBUMARTIST, ALBUM, ARTIST, TITLE, optionally TRACK and YEAR. If ALBUMARTIST is empty then many players cannot group together files by different artists.

And to check, if the data is really the same for ALBUMARTIST and ALBUM,

> [@Confused need some ideas to get an album together](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/confused-need-some-ideas-to-get-an-album-together/71613/4):
>
> Please show a screenshot of the tag panel for such an album when all files of that album have been selected.

If you use MP3tag, then screenshots from MP3tag are also advisable.

not sure where the problem was, but deleting all metadata with foobar, then recreating the albums with mp3tag, has worked so far for 3 albums, not splitting anymore, so will progress with the other albums.....☝

As you never told us exactly what the metadata looked like and what you did when

I can only shrug my shoulders and wonder what it had to do with the support forum for MP3tag.
