Problem adding year to path only if year tag exists

Oh thanks for the tips! That's good to know about the num function. I suppose that makes sense. So the only issue would really be if I need to add more padding, but I think I've already done that for the albums with more than 99 tracks.

Just started using the brackets recently, so I didn't consider that I could simply the action that way. I appreciate it. Always nice to simplify.

A sidebar relevent to this discussion:

The redbook standard for any audio CD has a defined maximum of 99 tracks (plus a potential "hidden" 00 track technically). Thus the idea of padding this field to 2 digits. When ripping sets of discs you can further define this with a disc field, and displayed as a preceding disc#-track# for as many tracks that may be in a set, and with a potentially unlimited number of discs.

Of course this does not apply to a digital album in theory. Likely this is only an issue if you create your own "Album" of tracks. This can also be done with a playlist though.

Sure. These are digital albums in most cases, so a 6 CD pack is now a 100 track digital release. I do use two digit disc_two digit track, prefix format. I have a few "albums" that are really collections of indie music released through a common source and are treated as one large library of music with hundreds or thousands of tracks by the artists and platform, so the track numbers are assigned by the creators with that in mind. Those are the exceptions though and the large majority are well with the 99 track limit.
