# Problem retaining track # info when importing tagged files

When editing tags for downloaded MP3s, I have no problem, and all tags appears to be fine. But when I import the MP3s into Creative Labs Mediasource Organizer (which I use to load MP3s into my Creative Zen player), the imported tags do not retain the track #s and only Zeroes display (losing the track #s). Is there a way I can identify what the tag format is before editing (and after) so perhaps I can figure out the problem? If I don't edit the tags prior to importing into Creative, all work just fine, but if I use MP3Tag Editor to change any of the tags (I don't change or modify the track #s), the result is I lose the track # info. Any ideas or other folks that have the same problem? ☹

🙂 Thank you for the quick reply - the information did the trick. For those that don't want to go to the link, here's the info that fixed the loss of track # values when importing the modified tags.
enable the option
(x) ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1 at mt\_options.png Options \> Tags \> Mpeg. After
that, just save the tags again by clicking mt\_save.png or by using
the [Ctrl+S] hotkey.
