# Pushing data back to tags on files

I am still trying to come up with unique identifiers for each music track. It is an essential element of unbreakably connecting the music track files to the music programming software I am using.

I could export a list of all my tracks and then in Excel add a field with unique values. I could then export that new enhanced list to the music programming software.

But - and here's the question. Is there some way to import the Excel file into MP3Tag and then have MP3Tag write all the new tag data to a specified tag field?

If there is not a way to do that, does anyone know of a different program that would do that for me?
