# Randomly selecting tracks after changing metadata

Since the recent update I’ve discovered a problem where if you change your metadata, the cursor would select the tracks randomly without touching the mouse.

What happens if you switch off the message that appears after saving?
(TBH, so far I could not reproduce it - only judging from the gif, it looks like the mouse button is bouncing)

I've reproduced the issue — it's triggered by clicking in the empty space (not a file) which enables rubber band selection. Pressing Esc or clicking the empty space again leaves this selection mode.
It's yet another regression that was present in the beta versions since v3.30b, but unfortunately hasn't been spotted over the past two months.

I was showing the error happening, there’s no problem with my mouse though.
