# Recalling Special Filter Configurations

This might be possible already, but I just can't figure it out. There have been times I've typed in some pretty complicated rules for a FILTER with MP3tag, and then a week or so later find myself re-typing and configuring the same FILTER.
Are filter rules saved anywhere, or can they be saved for easy retrieval at a future date? Obviously, I could call up notepad and just copy my each complicated filter to a textfile and manually retrieve them if they were needed.
It would be great if MP3tag could save FILTER DEFINITIONS much like Actions for quick retrieval and use. It would truly save a lot of time in my world ... and, if it's already possible ... point me in the direction of some HELP INFO or FAQ instructions.

I've added an option to manage the filter list, including named filters, bulk remove, and reordering with [Mp3tag v3.14b](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/455).
