Hello Forum,

REGEX is completely new to me and I would greatly appreciate help.

I’m starting to organise my media library using Mp3tag on PC:

**PC WORKFLOW**

1. Export Mp3tag library data as a csv file.
2. Create MAAT measurements log as a tsv file.
3. Use the csv and tsv files to create a combined spreadsheet.

[https://community.mp3tag.de/t/dynamic-range-import-from-maat-droffline-report/71726](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/dynamic-range-import-from-maat-droffline-report/71726)

Using this REGEX workflow would simplify things substantially, so I am testing:

**MAC WORKFLOW**

Action Group
DRO TEST

Import Text File
Formatstring: dro\_log.txt
Field: dro\_import

[dro\_log.txt](https://community.mp3tag.de/uploads/short-url/yiGSe1ywsuaqEud3QHzu6cfX40V.txt) (492 Bytes)

Import Tag Fields
Source Format:
$regexp($regex(%dro\_import%,.+|\n$replace(%\_filename%,'(','\(',')','\)')(.+?)\n.\*|\n,$1),\s+\|\s+,==)
Formatstring:
==%dummy%==%dummy%==%dummy%==%dro\_max\_tpl%==%dro\_lufsi%==%dro\_dr\_pmf%==

**RESULT**

Successfully imports dro\_log.txt to dro\_import but the tag fields are only created in the 2nd file.

**NOTES**

%\_filename\_ext%
CHANGED TO
%\_filename%

(Did not work as log is filename only)

==%dummy%==%format%==%word\_length%==%max\_tpl%==%lufsi%==%dr\_pmf%==
CHANGED TO
==%dummy%==%dummy%==%dummy%==%dro\_max\_tpl%==%dro\_lufsi%==%dro\_dr\_pmf%==

(For clarity and post Mp3tag data analysis)

you would have to check the contents of the imported data in `dro_import` and then see whether the regular expression produces a single line of data for each file so that the `Import tag fields` action succeeds.

Thank you for the quick response.

This is the text format imported to dro\_import from dry\_log.txt:

Is there a REGEX missing from my MAC WORKFLOW to make this one line?

AFAI can see, the text file has a blank line following the first `|` and also leading spaces in front of the first filename in the text.
See, if it works after you deleted these extra pieces of information

Or if a modified expression like this helps:
`$regexp($regex(%dro_import%,.+|\n\s*$replace(%_filename%,'(','\(',')','\)')(.+?)\n.*|\n,$1),\s+\|\s+,==)`

Deleting the extra information you suggested worked - thank you so much.

Unfortunately, the modified expression did not but it gives me something I can try to learn from and adapt myself.
