# Removal of direct regexp support missing from changelog

V2.44 filter accepts regular expressions directly e.g. [http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/1724/fi...hvariouskm6.gif](http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/1724/filterbyorchvariouskm6.gif) . This is broken in V2.45 and later (cases #3,#4 and #5 in that example fail) apparently by removal of this feature, but this removal is missing from the changelog [http://www.mp3tag.de/en/changelog.html](http://www.mp3tag.de/en/changelog.html)

Possible workaround for the breakage: prefix the regular expression with " **\* MATCHES**" e.g. " **\* MATCHES Angelis .\*$**" . This case works but I have not done wider testing.
