# Remove ID3v2 from FLAC

Hi,

My first post, so be gentle! ![:rolleyes:](https://community.mp3tag.de/uploads/default/original/1X/3a79e8b0b7d169b30216785521d7c6f4f895c421.gif ":rolleyes:") I need to remove FLAC IDV32 from all my FLAC files, but I don't see a way to edit/remove the text. I must be especially dense today because it's not obvious to me! In the edit fields on the left, there is no field for TAG. Am I missing something?

Oh yea, I also looked through the FAQ and Help files, but not obvious there either. Sometimes I'm dumber than a rock!

Hi Dale,

the only way of removing ID3v2 from FLAC files is to delete the tag and rewrite it via ![:mt_undo:](https://community.mp3tag.de/uploads/default/original/1X/dc35961ac45530697d2db342d267f1974f19f2eb.png ":mt\_undo:") Undo [Ctrl+Z].
